Who's your favorite duo? Here are some of ours Part 3 🖤🧡

Part 2 of Duo day! We really do have the best students.

Warrior fans, here are your duos, some trios, and maybe even a few that don't know the definition of duo 😂 but love the spirit of homecoming. The vibe in the hallways make anyone's day better. Job well done WHS and community!

The end. Tomorrow is Duo Day!

Part 2! It's was so fun. Beach day!

We dreamt of waves and sand today as we walked through the hallways. It was a great day to kick off homecoming week!

Warrior fans! Your Warrior of the week belongs to Trajin Swalstad. You have seen this kid pounding the pavement around town; putting in miles weekly and winning meets along the way. He sits in the top 3 in the state and his goal was to beat a Cody rival at the Fox & Hound meet. Goal accomplished, he finished first!
Trajin's competitive side makes him strong in the classroom; making sure he gets good grades. His favorite part of cross country? Winning. "It's pretty simple he states." Thanks for being a great student athlete Trajin.

PSA High School pictures are Oct. 11th. Teenage language: Bet the fit be sick Fall team sport pictures are tomorrow, Sept. 20th volleyball, girls swimming and golf. Thurs. Sept. 21st football, cross country, and cheer. Your athlete should have brought you a packet.

Some of our seniors took advantage of NWC planning days yesterday in Powell. There were 22 colleges at the event where they were able to talk about careers, scholarships, and the benefits of starting in the fall looking at schools.

Good morning Worland! The High School would like challenge business, groups, and the public to join us in homecoming week! Friday the parade starts at 1! 🧡🖤

The new lights in the gym made it for a fun introduction of the starting line up and a beautiful display for our national anthem.

Warrior of the week belongs to our lady Warrior swimmer Lila Ramirez! Not only does she work hard in the classroom; carrying a 3.64 GPA but she has already qualified for state! Lila is go getter in the water, working hard daily, improving times and working on technique.
Lila likes the concept of a team but the complexity of earning points as an individual swimmer. She put work in this summer making sure her start was in line with her ending times at the end of the season.
Teammates describe her as kind and strong with a drive to improve herself each time she jumps in the pool. Congratulations Lila, keep grinding! 🧡 🏊♀️ 🖤

UPDATED A LA CARTE INFORMATION. Good morning. After a week of trial runs we have decided to implement the following:
Revised Worland High School Meal Program
Dear WCSD #1 Parents and Guardians,
Worland High School will start offering two different meal options in the “Warrior Ala Carte” for Breakfast and Lunch. Two regular meal choices and an ala carte line starting September 18th. The ala carte line will have food items that are “grab and go”, so your student will be able to take those purchased food items out of the building. Our regular line is the menu that has been planned for the entire district plus one additional choice.
We are excited and want to thank you for allowing your student to join us with our updated food service program. The new ala carte line will offer “Smart Snack” compliant items that are required by the USDA. Don’t be afraid of the “Smart Snack” name, we will have lots of drink options, bars, chips, salads, sandwiches, pizza, etc.!
Please remember that our school district has a “no charge policy” for school meals. This policy means that students are not allowed to have a negative balance on their meal account. Please make sure that your student has money on their account so they are able to purchase these items. Your student does not have ability to make a reimbursable meal out of the ala carte line. These items will need to be purchased as individual items. If a student has a negative account balance, they will not be able to purchase items from the ala carte line.
If your student receives a free or reduced priced meal, we encourage them to use the traditional lunch program which we have expanded to two choices. If they choose to take any of the items off the “Warrior Ala Carte”, they will need to have money on their school meal account to cover the cost of those items.
Please help your student be prepared to choose their meal options by having money on their school meal account. We have a computerized point-of-sale system and it tracks a student’s account balance daily, so any amount you would like to deposit on their account ahead of time will help to avoid charges. If you have any questions, please reach out to either Bruce Miller (bmiller@washakie1.com) or Heather Trauntvein (htrauntvein@washakie1.com

Parents, stop scrolling and read this short message. Ala carte items are purchased items. You could see your students balance go up. Please be mindful that could increase their lunch costs. This includes free and reduced families as well. Call the high school if have any questions.

Parents, starting tomorrow our Ala Carte will be up and running. Your child can stop and grab and go lunch! Items will be ran through their lunch account. Salads, entrees, beverages, fruits and veggies will be available. There will be items added on a regular basis. Please see the letter Mr. Miller has made available on the Washakie Co School District 1 app..
